Honestly, when I was diagnosed with cancer while I was pregnant, I had no idea how my life would turn out. But every time life knocked me down, it somehow presented me with a new opportunity.

My cancer diagnosis led me back to an old work place, but this time not on the sales team, on the social media team. I had zero experience in marketing or social media, my background was in sales but I threw myself into learning. I discovered how to understand an audience, create content that connected, and combine it all with sales.

I went to trade shows, ran successful events, met influencers, created viral content, sold more than I ever imagined, and genuinely loved what I was doing... all while navigating one of the hardest periods of my life.

A couple of years later, I was ready for a new challenge. I wanted to see if I could manage social media in a completely different industry. But it turned out to be somewhere that wasn’t the right environment for me.

While dreading going to work every day, I found out I was pregnant with my second child. My first thought was, “How am I ever going to get a new job while pregnant? Who would want to employ me?”

I knew I needed a way out, and I could only see one option...
